Post colonial China. That was how I felt walking in Merchant Lane, a cafe right at the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The first thing I mumbled to myself upon walking through the entrance with my colleagues was 'OOTD guys!'. Sigh. How social media has evolved right? It is all about taking the perfect picture and posting up on Instagram, or finding the newest cafes in town from Facebook or any other Instagrammer's feed to be exact. Let me put things into perspective for you. The word 'insta' or 'OOTD' happen to be actual words used in writing or verbally these days. A decade ago, none of these existed.
